The Pocket Catholic Dictionary defines “marriage” as follows:

As a natural institution, the lasting union of a man and a woman who agree to give and receive rights over each other for the performance of the act of generation and for the fostering of their mutual love.

The state of marriage implies four chief conditions: (1) there must be a union of opposite sexes; it is therefore opposed to all forms of unnatural, homosexual behavior; (2) it [...] Read More »

For the past couple of month, articles have been popping up all over the place talking about the upcoming fourth season of the “award winning” television show, Mad Men. The show has won numerous awards for its “historical authenticity” and “visual style,” including four Golden Globes and nine Emmys.

I didn’t know this until recently, but apparently the marketing departments for shows like Mad Men customarily send out, in advance, DVDs of the first 4 episodes [...] Read More »

Last week I told you about the heart surgery that was scheduled for Georgette. Thanks to the prayers from an army of Christians, the surgery was successful and she is slowly recovering. The surgery was performed at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, by Dr. Hartzell Schaff, a heart surgeon who is considered by many to be the top surgeon in the world for the type of heart surgery Georgette needed to have.

We’ve covered The Idling Man and The Passion Bridge. The last critical lesson I believe every Catholic girl must be taught before she is allowed to go out on a date with a boy is: The Two Greatest Desires.

You may have heard of Fr. Clair Bourdereaux. He was a Franciscan priest who was assigned to Sacred Heart Church in downtown Peoria in 1976. He remained there for 19 years (until his death in January of [...] Read More »
